1. Why should you hire a designer?
Let’s be honest, remodels can be stressful and a designer is your advocate during the process! I’m here to help you create a vision for your space, whether you know exactly what you love, or haven’t a clue yet. Your contractor and I will work together to ensure your project goes according to plan, proceeds in a timely manner, and stays on budget!
2. What do you handle?
No job is too small or large, from a small powder room to a store remodel. We meet in your space to see what you love, what needs to go, and talk ideas! After the contractor is hired, we begin the fun work of sourcing materials for your project, with in-person meetings so you can see your options up close! We stay ahead of the project so that as your contractor moves through each stage of your project our choices are ready for installation. Most of my clients are extremely busy with careers and families, and it’s important to me that I’m always available 24/7 to you via phone or email.
3. Can you help me find a contractor/painter/cabinet maker etc? I have no idea who to call!
I come with a Rolodex of trusted contractors and tradespeople in the industry to suggest if you are new to the world of remodeling. If you already have a team lined up, great! I’m always excited to work with new friends in the trades.
4. How does pricing work?
Our journey begins with a free in-person estimate where we chat about goals and dreams for your space. (If you’re outside of the Portland metro/Clark County area we are happy to work with you remotely!) I take measurements and photos and we get to know one another! Within a week you’ll have an estimate for my services. If you feel like it’s a good fit, our contract is signed and the fun begins!
